Lawn tractor transmission oil?

redline Member   Join Date: Mar 2006 Posts: 2,083	Lawn tractor transmission oil? A relative just acquired a small riding mower. The manual transmission was apart and need a few small parts. He needs to know what oil/weight is needed before he closes it up?

Posts: 586	Lawn tractor transmission oil? well since you told me the make I did some checking JD will only give you their part number but wont tell you what it is so I checked some more any 20w50 trans oil will work and you can get it at almost any auto parts store at least thats what I was told
