lawn slope control

How do I repair slope errosion of my lawn that because it is butted up against the side and front of my house has caused moisture to my basement? I have run a plastic membrane up 12'' against the wall and 3.5 feet out which covers my property line. I have held down the plastic with (30) forty pound bags of topsoil, all this in an effort to change the pitch of the lawn...away from the wall. I live in Indiana and it has rained on and off for several days. I would appreciate help with this emergency project. I am looking for the best and most appealing way to complete the project. Thank you

Typically the top soil would be spread out such as to provide natural flow away from the structure, so not sure where the plastic comes into play. Definitely a case where a picture or two may help.

You may have to pull at least some of the sod up. Regrade with the added topsoil. Put the sod back down.
