I applied scotts anytime lawn fertilier on june 13th and the grass/lawn has lots of weeds. How long do i need to wait to apply a weed killer? And what kind/brand weed killer do you recommend?

You don't need to wait any particular length of time. I like to fertilize and give everything a day or so to respond then hit the weeds. Note the label on the herbicides will read to apply "when weeds are actively growing." To me, that means after fertilizing and watering- the weeds are growing right along with the grass.
As far as which product, first you need to identify your weeds. I like a liquid spray- I think it gets better coverage.
