landscape suggestions


i want to remove the two large bush's and the plants and redo this area. i currently have a boulevard cypress pom pom for the area but not sure what else i can use to complement that.



Any ideas?

I would put that in the center and find some cactus native to your area (we have cactus native to Wisconsin, so I think you will have some too). Put them on either side. Then I would plant several patches of sedum plants in the bed. As much as I am against using stones instead of mulch, I think that crushed red granite would look nice here.

landscape suggestions


I'm trying to figure out the purpose of the split double-sidewalk thing. Either fill it in or get rid of it.
And if you have to drag the hose through your hosta every time you want to water, that seems like kind of a pain.


Consider the whole yard and house.
Try to hide, soften, and break up the sharp corners and large flat areas.
Make a large plant a focal point in each area, then plan smaller ones around that.
