I have concrete patio between my house and garage that has water standing at the front edge of the concrete. How do I correct that problem.
Without at least a picture of the problum not sure how anyone would know.
Joe is building a photo album to go with every post he does on this site so humor him. Requesting a photo also lets him be the first poster to any question which seems important to him.:laughing:
I will take a stab at the problem without a photo. The edge where water is pooling is lower than the rest of the slab! It may have settled or dirt around it was higher to start.
If it is dirt just being higher than the slab, you might have to move some plants or cut and replace some sod so you can regrade the soil to be lower than the lip of the slab.
The other option is to raise the surface of the slab higher with a veneer coat of concrete which may or may not bond. Epoxy like Abatron's Abocrete can be troweled on but it is expensive.
The final option is to dig a drain system at the edge so the water has a way to seek lower ground. You will need to check what systems are legal where you are.
