Killer vine, Riverbank Grape taking out a Buckthorn

Thought you guys might get a kick out what I found off to the side of our house. I've been concentrating on the back where we've opened up the back half of our lot. What a pain that's been removing hundreds of years of overgrowth and a few big oaks that have died.
Anyway, I assume this to be a Riverbank or Frost Grape vine after a little research (any input appreciated), that is trying its best to take down a Buckthorn bush. Seems to be making progress! I think I'll end up helping though.
