How to replace a missing flag stone ?

I just bought a house and the back area is all flag stone one small stone is missing

How do I go about replacing it?

There's plenty of extra loose stones kicking around to work with

How to replace a missing flag stone ?

Remove the surrounding joints with a stone chisel. Break the flagstone and remove it. Remove the concrete below it at least 1" deep. Add new mortar and tap the new stone into place until it is flush with the others. Re-point the joints.
