How do I reattach the lower deck extension spring on an 38" MTD riding mower?

Not to be difficult but put the ends into the holes. Might have to get something like pliers or needle-nose pliers to help maneuver the ends.
Is it in the diagram at:

Use 60# fishing line. Put the line through the hook on the end of the spring, doubling the line back towards you. Secure the line to something which will serve as a handle to pull on. Make SURE you secure this very well. Pull the spring into position and (I hate to tell you this part): Have your bestest lady friend put the hook into the slot/hole on the mower deck. Or better yet: Just go buy a six-pack, some steaks, fire up the grill and invite your best buddy over to put the spring into the hole, then celebrate the mission completed.
