how do I identify my lawn?

I want to figure out why kind of grass I have. Most likely Fescue or Kentucky Blue Grass in Mass, is that right?

how do I identify my lawn?

I would try taking a sample to a home and garden center. i think they'll be able to help you determine what type(s) of grass you have.
