Hose diameter volume better?

Not clear on the concept.
If I use a 3/4" garden hose instead of 5/8", but with a typical nozzle or sprinkler or end spray attachment of some kind, am I getting any greater flow of water?
Or does the final attachment, with a typical 1/2" to 5/8" aperture reduce the flow so no gain is had?
Thanks.
HF
(looking for water volume gain. pressure change is not a problem)
