Help with Toro Weedwacker

My Toro [gas] weed trimmer starts easy, but once all the fuel is used from the primer it shuts down. I've cleaned the fuel and filter on the uptake line. What else could I try?

Help with Toro Weedwacker

Does "I've cleaned the fuel" mean that you have fresh fuel or that you checked the fuel line and filter?

Could be that the filter is stopped up. Did you clean it or replace it? I would replace the line and filter. Sometimes if it was running fine but got some trash/water in the fuel from contaminated fuel can you can clean the filter and get it running. The filter did it's job in that case. You could have a filter problem or the fuel line could be pinched or have a crack or hole in it. Replace both and you will eliminate that part of the question. Could be some trash in the carb.

Help with Toro Weedwacker

Thanks, I've cleaned the filter, but not replaced the fuel line. I'll try that before I dig into the carburator.

Thanks.....George
