Help needed 3/4 poly pipe joining sections.

What is the best way to join two section of 3/4 inch poly pipe? We are laying a line, one mile long, to get water to a new pasture and need to know the best way to join 500 foot sections. This line will be buried when finished. Thanks, Tom.

A back to back poly hose barb would do it but you gotta find some pipe clamps that will be suitable for underground. I'm pretty sure you can get nylon clamps. The best place to inquire about that is a well pump supply house. They may have some sort of compression coupling as well.

Not to question what you're doing but a mile is a long way for a 3/4" pipe. I'd be worried about a large pressure drop over that distance.

We are supply a stock tank with an automatic fill and only need minimal flow to make it work.

Go to the hardware store and pick up a brass barbed connector and 4 stainless steel clamp per joint (2 clamps on each side of the connector). Take a small propane torch with you and heat the pipe slightly and insert the barbed connector. When you put the clamps on tighten one from each direction i.e. as you look down from the top, one of the clamp screws will point left, one right, this will apply pressure equally from each direction.
