Grubs Too Big To Kill
Late April early May in Boston Mass. Is it too late to kill the grubs because it really takes three times as much Grubex to do it now compared with waiting until August when the next crop just hatches?

The Grubex package does not say anything about a need to use more to kill nearly full grown (springtime) grubs.

Or is the grub killing worthwhile at any cost?

Another brand says to use an application rate 3 times higher to kill grubs in the spring compared with late summer.

Bowls of (cheap, generic) beer at ground level in your garden works wonders.
At least they get a buzz before they drown.....

Grubs don't like beer? Hmmm, must be wine drinkers.....

I had a grub problem last mid summer. A large patch of grass was dying and I found huge grubs under it.

Put down grub-ex and it worked just fine.
