Green Grass
I have used weed killer (Vinegar+Soap+Salt) in my lawn last Thursday. The weed killer kills the weeds but grasses around the weeds become brown/yellow color. I have a party in my lawn on this Saturday, Would you please advice me, how to make those brown grasses to green.
Thank you in advance for your hepl. |

Green Grass
Not much to do that quick, you could try some liquid fertilizer.

Green Grass
Miracle Grow is a liquid fertilizer, but if the grass has truly died, fertilizing it won't help. Sounds like you may have had some overspray where the killer was either applied or leached into the surrounding grass? You used a solution of vinegar, soap and table salt? If so my understanding is applying salt will kill everything it comes in contact with, not just weeds. For the future you may want to either weed out the weeds (yes, I weed my lawn), apply more specifically to the weeds or use a selective weed killer not something that will kill everything.

There is something referred to as 'grass paint', which is basically spray paint designed to be sprayed on your grass and look like a natural green color. The problem you might face is your party is coming up soon and I don't think the big box stores like Lowes or Home Depot sell this. You might want to call and double check. If they don't have it, maybe you could check with a local nursery or paint store. You could also order it online as long as you make sure it gets to you before your party.
As avalon said, its probably dead which means fertilizer (liquid or any kind) won't revive it. If you had more time I'd just say to patch it with pieces of sod or grass seed, but with only 5 days I think paint might be your best bet. Good luck. |
