Getting ready to sod...

I recently poured a 16x40' slab for a foundation I am building and am currently working on leveling my yard. I need to know what is suggested to level my yard so that water doesn't run underneath the slab. Do I slope away from the slab or is this something that I don't really need to worry about. I am trying to level my entire backyard, and really don't have alot of room for sloping, but I figured if it was gradual that the water wouldn't pool up in that are.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks!!

You don't say where you are from but even assuming you are in a warm climate it is always proper practice to slope away from the slab to prevent eventual erosion. If slope is not possible you can always install a french drain on the perimeter. If you had some pics, they would help.
