garden - lawn reclaimation

We have way too many gardens on our property for how big it is, and have started the process of turning one back into grass. I am currently pulling all the old plants and roots out, and picked up some new lawn soil and some scotts EZ seed (much soil and seed all in one shot).

I did some glyphosphate yesterday, and will be giving it the week before I law down the dirt and seed, but will I have to cover the EZ seed in hay or something simiilar? I know with normal seed the birds love it, but does the premixed stuff have the same problem?

for what its worth the area is about 4 x 20

I wouldn't worry about it. Just spread it and lightly rake it in. Keep it watered.
