My wife and I finally did some much needed landscaping to our front and back yards and yes that is a "home beautification award" from our neighborhood. Now we want to make sure we don't lose all of our hard work this winter when the frost hits, any suggestions on keeping our plants alive during the frosty conditions. We live in northern Calif. if that helps.
no ideas for you but wanted to say, beautiful lawn. Your grass is so perfect looking, and I love the curved planting area on the left.
Congratulations on your hard work and keen eye.
To save the annuals I'm afraid the neighbors would come get the home beautification award because of what would be needed for frost protection.
Garden centers are usually full of Pansies in the Fall so you might research those to determine if they would fit the bill for winter color and keep your award sign in tact.
