Floating Deck

I see That the plans call for 2x6 cross beams to fit in the towers. I have a lot of 6"x6"x8' pressure treated timbers. using these would cut my material cost considerbly. Do they make towers that size? Can I use Pavers or cement blocks as subistute?

Floating Deck

What are towers? ( sonotubes? )

or

What part of the country are you in?

Freeze/thaw climates will not allow for stuff sitting on the ground.
Foundations and piers must be installed below frost level.
