filling in sunken area

Hi, I have an area on my lawn that has sunken somewhat and needs to be filled in and regraded.

I figured the simplest thing would be to bring in more topsoil on top of the grass, tamp it down and reseed.

Any reason to remove the existing grass first? Thanks

Nope,... Just fill it,+ seed it...
