Filling space where pool once was (above ground)

Hello All! I hope I am posting this in the right place. I had a pool back here and now I have a hole. I have a party in a few days and need to make use of the space. Can you guys provide a quick, easy DIY cheap solution to this problem? We tried filling it with mulch but it just looks like dirt now. We would like to make it a usable space to put tables in. We also tried laying down astroturf and it was pretty tacky.

It couldn't be done in a couple days, but a round deck might be nice.

Just a temporary fix works. I am only using it for a 1 day

Several sheets of 3/4 inch plywood, laid out and primer painted.

Should suffice as a quick cover-up until a real paver patio can be installed.

is there a thinner cheaper plywood that would work and withstand weight on it?

If you are willing to do a little shovel work, leveling and smoothing the dirt.

3/8 ply would probably hold up well, just don't put a lot of LARGE people in one place on it.

You could duct tape the seams to keep the sheets together, and have a fairly flat surface to use tables and furniture on at least temporarily.

Just remember that this is temporary, and get a real patio built later.

What are your plans for the hole after the party?

That would be a perfect spot for sand and a fire pit.
