Fertilize now or wait

In close to Milwaukee where it's been in the 40's-50's lately with lows in the high 30's -low 40's. Should I wait to fertilize for the 1st time until its warmer? I use the Scott's 4 step program.

Go to the Scotts web site to see what they say for the best answers.

You can do it any time, just not when there is snow on the ground.

They just say it fine.....obviously. Hard to believe. Their turf builder plus halt says it an be applied anytime especially since it's for crabgrass mainly.

And your point being? Apply it on snow, all it will do is melt it, and dilute the fertilizer in that it will not be effective.

You asked a question, I gave you a answer. What more do you want, someone to go there and do the work for you.

His point is that since its a weed preventer that works by stopping the weed seeds from germinating that you need to get it down before its warm consistently because the weed seeds will have germinated by than
