Extend Concrete slab porch

Hi: Have 21" deep X 11'-9" long X 19" high flower box of brick. Want to remove two layers of brick and add slab to meet existing porch slab. Box filled with soil. How much soil do I remove? Fill with sand ? 3" slab w/re-bars? Thanks.

Greetings, your concrete should be at least 4inches deep, are you building anything on top of it? if so 6inches ,use sand water it in ,compress it and wire mesh ought to be fine
