Every Year Same Large Lawn Spot Appears


Every year for the 4 years I've lived in the home a large brown round area appears on the treelawn in the same location.

Any ideas?

There is something just under the surface---man hole cover--old stump or spilled spaceship fuel.

Get a shovel---might be a rock---

Forgot to mention in the spring the spot is not there, only occurs and stays during the hot months here in Ohio

It dies because there is not much soil under that spot--so it dries out first---

My septic tank causes a dead rectangle every year--Dig---

Every Year Same Large Lawn Spot Appears


It wold be in the utility right of way, so I would say that there is something at that spot. Anyone else having the same problem in the same spot? If you look down the way, there are two pedestal boxes down that way, for either catv or telco.

Kinda looks like the dead area that results when my husband fills the fertilizer spreader.

Took the chuck end of my flexible 60" drill bit and started probing. Hit something hard. Used spade shovel and about 5" down is a large rock. Go figure.
