erosion issue
Hi,
I'm having a bit of an erosion issue in my backyard. Right now it's at a point where the concrete for my fence posts is being undercut and it is only getting worse. I was thinking about a retaining wall, but don't know if that's the best option. The house is in Raleigh, NC. I've only owned it since February of this year. here is the worst area http://i.imgur.com/C2Cq2.jpg http://i.imgur.com/3X1yb.jpg Here is the full shot of the area http://i.imgur.com/3B22J.jpg http://i.imgur.com/bki2S.jpg it's about 3-3.5' vertically from where the fence is to where the water naturally drains, about 9' horizontally. See pic. http://i.imgur.com/kNV8e.jpg What are your thoughts? This is my first house and first yard so I don't know all that much. I've also got another erosion issue on the other end of the yard, but that's for a different thread. |
Ayuh,... I see abit of settlement, but no erosion...

I think you could accomplish what you need to with some minor regrading.

Nothing major there, if you can get grass to grow that should take care of it. Nice thick grass will do just fine. Cheap too!
