Driveway drainage issue and how to fix?
I have a problem with my driveway and I am trying to figure out what the cause is and how to fix it.
As you can see in the picture I have attached, I am seeing some erosion under the concrete driveway. Its bad enough in spots to see all the way under the slab. I am not sure if this is a drainage issue, if it was improperly installed by the previous owner, or if it is something else entirely. As you can see in the other photo, the driveway has a nice slope to it down to the street. All of the rainwater drains to the street and the street slopes down to the catch basin at the end of the street. There is also a catch basin in our yard (left in the picture), and I havent noticed anything abnormal during heavy rains so I am assuming the drainage is ok. Any ideas on the cause?
I plan on fixing this by getting some fill dirt, filling in the eroded spots, tamping it down the best I can and replanting the grass. Any other suggestions that might help?
Appreciate any feedback!
Ayuh,.... Just looks like it's settled abit to me...
Fill it in, 'n seed it...
