Drainage question for planter bed by house

Just made this short retaining wall to create a planter area by house. The area itself sees little rain due to roof overhang and since the area faces the Northeast.

Is a drainage system needed?

That should drain naturally. By all means keep the bed inside the retaining wall sloping away from the house. You created kind of a risky situation mounding dirt up to the house like that. Just so long as it drains away from the foundation.
