Disposing Grass

We started to make a flower bed in our back yard which has Bahia Grass. Started to dig up the grass and put in a garbage bin, then I went to take the plastic bag out when it was half full-HOLY CRAP its heavy!

Any suggestions or tips on the easiest way to get rid of the grass? Would suck to fill little grocery bags with grass and leave about 40-50 of them for the trash person to pick up.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yeah, don't send that stuff to the landfill! Just pile it up somewhere, turn it occasionally, and you'll have nice rich compost soon enough.

In our area the trash man won't pick up yard waste of any kind.
