Question

Craftsman Gas Blower

Does anyone know where I can get some detailed instructions on how to wind the power cord for this blower. I have it disassembled and want to simply rewind the cord without having to take it to get repaired. No one has detailed instructions. HELP

I do not know as the rope was pulled from the assembly during start up. It seems to be simple but not sure how it all goes together. It has a screw that holds the rope following a thread through a hole and then winding it. I put it back together and the rope simply pulled out. Not sure if it was done right and there are no details from craftsman as they want you to take it to sears for repair. Probably could get a new one for the service. Any other ideas?

The rope winds in the direction that opposes the coil spring that retracts the rope. If you don't feel this resisting force on the rope pulley in either direction the spring or its anchor may be broken. Wear eye protection.
