Concrete base for shed

Can I use HPB as a base for concrete? I am laying a 450 sqf patio and building a 9x9 shed at the same time. I am planning on using hpb for the base of the patio. Do I need to also order 3/4 clear stone for the concrete base of the shed or is HPB ok?

Thank you in advance.
