Composite decking without the fake wood facade

Hello Gang,

I am designing a deck and I would like to use composite decking because of the ease of upkeep, but all of the composite decking that I have found has a fake woodgrain finish. I don't like the fake wood grain at all and I would like to have it be flat or, at the very least, I would like it to have some uniform, non-wood, finish. Any suggestions?

Also, Does anyone recommend a brand that is pretty resistant to stains and molding?

Thank y'all in advance!

A smooth finish will be slippery when wet.
Look into Timbertech PVC coated.
At the price it's going to cost you could do IPE, also called Iron wood.

Thank you for your reply. The PVC decking might work in a dark color.

I wouldn't mind something with groves to prevent slipping, I would just prefer that they not be made to look like wood.

I am in Atlanta, GA.

Thanks again,

I found what I was looking for... Unfortunately, it isn't in the US. Here is a link:

Does anyone know of a US company that does similar decking?

The Trex Accents has "grain", but it can be installed grain side down leaving you with smooth finish.

composite

In addition to the groves being a less slipery surface, a smooth surface composite board will tend to show scratches fron moving furnature and general movement. Be ware.
