circular fire pit paver patio - what to use/how to slope
First time poster, long time reader! :)
I'm building a circular patio around our fire pit. The gravel is in and compacted, and the sand is ready to go. I'd like to use a tumbled paver.
If I get a circular kit, I believe the inner circle will go to waste as I don't think I'll need it. (The pit is 6ft diameter and the patio diameter is about 17ft)
If I get standard square or rectangle tumbled pavers, I'll need to cut a bunch with a taper and then rough up the edges on the straight cuts of each paver to match the rest.
There is a Mutual Materials in my area that has Roman Dominion pavers that have 6 x 6 and 6 x 9, and I was thinking of using one or the other.
Also, I wonder if I should slope it with the lawn that has a subtle slope of its own, or should I slope down to the grass from the fire pit on all sides?
Any suggestions from you experts out there? :)
