Can you recognize these vegetation?

On the ground to one side of my house foundation, there are some ugly vegetations. I don't know what they are and why they grow there.

Will they negatively impact the house foundation or our health? Should I get rid of them? Any suggestions? Thanks a lot!

Dan

All I see is weeds and moss, except the 3rd pic is hydrangea( keep that)

Yeah, moss and weeds (and perhaps lichen in the third picture). This is probably the side of the house where the sun doesn't shine and the wind doesn't blow, right? So things tend to stay damp which is the environment that mosses and lichens like. I'd maybe check that you don't have a leaking pipe nearby and check your gutters above that area to see if they're clogged just to see if you can dry up that area, but there may not be a whole lot you can do.

The moss isn't hurting anything other than the eyes. I'd rake out all the moss and debris as best as you can and see if you can't open up the plantings a bit to let air get through that area. You might consider some stone mulch in that area, as anything wood-based will turn into a mushroom factory.

None of the vegetation will hurt the foundation. The last picture is Liverwort. It likes shade and moisture and is easy to remove.

yes, this the north side of the house and close to fence corner, so the sunlight is little and air circulation is also not good.

I will check the downspout water way. I may replace the moss with stone mulch. thanks for your replies!
