burning bush problems

I have 2 large burning bushes, never have trimmed them. They are about 20 years old. Last year one did poorly but made a full recovery this year, however the other one didn't get any leaves on it. Is it dead? Some of the branches have a hint of green, but I see no growth anywhere. Help!

Where are you? Most likely if it has not sprouted leaves by now it is gone.
