brown spot on my grass

My neighbors dog comes into my yard to pee and i am getting numerous brown spots. Is there something I can sprinkle in the lawn that would discourage them?

the only thing of which i'm aware are earthworms carrying tasers OR ak47's,,, the problem's w/your neighbor.

that being said, the dog's only marking his territory,,, our dog ' stakes ' our home including the fenc'd backyard 'but i learned & now hit the spot w/garden hose,,, no more dead bermuda or fescue.

Since they are letting the dog out at night, I'm trying to water in the morning. Not sure if the water needs to hit it right away or not.

We would if we could catch the dog in the act but we're in bed by then.

From everything I've read, it really needs to be ASAP. If it sits there all night, chances are it's too late.

I think your best solution here is to talk to the folks letting their dog pee on your yard. That, or get a motion-detecting sprinkler to give the dog a good scare.

Why yes there is.

Scarecrow Motion-Activated Sprinkler

Granted, you'll also tag a few humans in the process, but that's the price to pay for a pee-free lawn.

that's neat,,, but since my lab chases the hose nozzle stream, think it'd be like putting a humidifier & dehumidifier in the same closet & letting 'em fight it out :D

I've heard that pepper is a good deterrent for dogs.

Thank you for this recommendation. I got one, and no more brown spots. We've moved it around to other areas and now the neighbors dog is using their own lawn. It was worth every penny.

Too funny.

Sounds like the neighbor needs some obedience lessons.
