brick pavers over concrete pad in cold Vermont

The entry porch is a concrete slab 6 inches thick and has not cracked in 9 years since built...but the step up into the house from the slab is too high...am planning on laying brick pavers on the concrete...is this a good idea? Believe I should use premix the area is 11' x 5 1/2'. Would also want to face the front of the pad.
thks

brick pavers over concrete pad in cold Vermont

We did this at my parents house. We just used caulk to adhear the pavers to the steps (even on the face of the step). This step is covered and doesn't get much snow or rain on it. Whatever you use to adhere the pavers to the slab, be sure it is going to provide a little cushion.

The pavers we placed have been there for several years with no problems.
