Black or white yard drainage pipes
Hi All,

Apologies if this has been covered before, couldn't find it.

I'm having the French drains replaced in my yard because whoever did it before did a cr4ppy job, and since we are having the lawn re-seeded it is the perfect time. Would it be worth the additional outlay of getting the white rigid drain pipe laid so it can be snaked if it gets clogged in the future?

Personal preference is to use a smooth inner walled white pipe.

no question.

Rigid pipe can be laid to a desired grade and does not belly. The smooth surface will run cleaner and faster and not accumulate sediment unless it is installed improperly. You can also transition from perforated to solid and back depending on your needs. You may want solid to carry water under a sidewalk without satuarting the soil in that area.

You can get fittings to allow snaking or flushing at any point you chose to have an access.
