Backyard soggy all around

Hello i have moved to a new house in western NY and my backyard seems to stay very soggy for days after rain. I have an easement behind the house that goes the whole distance of the block. It is the power companies property they use for thier trucks to hookup new service in the area(home is only 12 yrs old so its a newer devolepment). Most of the water puddles back there. So i dont get standing water on my property but the yard is still soaked all over. Seems all my neighbors have the same issue as well. Is they anyway of planting more grass or a certain kind? I really dont want to dig up the whole yard to fix this issue ,but would rather hope to make the grass healthier or aerate maybe. Any tips please?ty

Look up "rain gardens" for plants that can take up some of that water.

Also look up "French drains" and "Dry wells". French drains (basically gravel filled ditches with pipes) should help move the water to a Dry Well, which is basically a hole in the ground, maybe filled with gravel, or maybe a barrel or something. What these do is allow the water to get somewhere besides the surface of your lawn and then trickle into the ground below the surface.

Since this is a DIY forum, I won't suggest you "hire a pro". But my backyard can be soggy too and I'm looking into sinking a dry well somewhere to help with the drainage.

Regrade the land so the part near your house is an inch or two higher and the far part of easement is an inch or two lower.
