Advice on planting some shrubs.
I've got a a 15' X 4' area along the front of my home that is in need of shrubs or something to fill the blank void. The area runs alongside the foundation of the house. We are in north Texas where termites are prevalent, and I would like to stay away from any mulch since it would make a moist home for them so close to the foundation. The Japanese Boxwoods that I am leaning towards require spacing of 4' so I'm wondering what to do with the bare ground in between the shrubs. I've looked into planting some ground cover such as Dwarf Mondo Grass (monkey grass) in between and around the shrubs, but that grass requires 8" of spacing. Any advice or suggestions is greatly appreciated.
