Who has used (or heard about).. "N-Hance" cabinet renewal process ?

This is a franchise with ties to Home Depot. They were here today with a proposal to refinish our 20 y/o solid oak kitchen cabinets. 211 sq.ft. will cost us $4642. or $22 per sq.ft.

No sanding or harsh chemicals. They use their own degreasers and solvents to prepare the wood, seal it and use tint or stain to the shade you are asking for. Then comes 1 or 2 coats of a finish.

They take the doors to their shop and do the box frames here. About 5 to 7 days. 2 or 3 workers. They will show us the MSDS sheets. Only one side of the doors are done.

Anyone know about this process? Thanks, :whistling2:

Never heard of it, but a Google search turns up a lot of information. It seems a reasonable approach if you want to keep the cabinets you have. My only reservation would be that they are affiliated with Home Depot - I have heard nothing but horror stories about HD contractors and installers. I wouldn't hire one of them to change a lightbulb.

Did you ever find anything else about this? Did you pursue this. While looking in last few months, I noticed that HD starting selling Rust-Oleum Cabinet Transformations (http://community.homedepot.com/t5/Wh...ions/td-p/6513) a kit for "coloring" or refinishing cabinets. Was this a similar process?

Thanks.
