When do I seal limestone tile?

I am doing an accent band of limestone mosaic in my new shower. Should I seal the tile before putting it up? Or wait till it's up and grouted before I seal?

Also, thoughts on type of grout for a shower? Is a normal grout with a mold-resistant additive enough, or should I really be using epoxy? Is epoxy more difficult to install?

Before grouting. Epoxy grout can be VERY difficult, and you have a time limit once it is mixed.

Latacrete's Spectralock epoxy is the brand I use--I don't find it to difficult.

You must plan on having at least four new sponges--keep one for the last cleaning--

If you follow the directions--pay attention to the cleaning you will be fine.

Just remember---if you do not clean perfectly you will live forever with the results. There is nothing that will remove epoxy from the face of the tiles if you miss anything.

The open working time is long--just pay attention to the details---when you think you are done-have someone else look for any spots that need more cleaning.

The spread rate never matches their chart--buy some extra just in case----Mike---
