Im getting ready to repaint the trim around my house and garage and i am having an extremely hard time deciding on what color to paint the trim and what color vinyl shutters to put on. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Why not something in a soft sage green... here's an example:

I think this could look good with all the greenery around your home.

Of course with a white house you could also go bold with a brick red, a navy blue or a black.
Good luck!

Just don't make the mistake the above homeowner did and join the millions who have shutters that are the wrong size.

Remember, a shutter used to have a purpose and the decorative shutters we put on now should still fit the window(as in being 1/2 the width of the window, or when neceassary the same width as the window w/ shutter on 1 side only).

If you think it doesn't matter you just haven't been paying attention.

I was just thinking... why not put shutters on your garage, too. It'll tie the two buildings together. And - perhaps - paint the garage doors black???

I was also thinking that with the black shutters, your front door looks a little boring. Why not pick a colour for it? I don't think you should go for black on the door... it'll be too much. You could go for a red or blue. Why not try some colours on the door with your MSPaint??
