What is the best glue for plastic?

Hello,

I ordered new floor speakers and they both arrived with broken removable front covers. The cover frame made from some cheap plastic and plastic frame on both covers is broken in many places. I would like to glue broken peaces together, so I can use the covers. Is it possible? Is there any good glue for my task?
In my former country I used some special chemical/glue which melts plastic. After applying such glue and putting together two pieces the plastic became one intact piece.

Thanks

You could go buy a small can of PVC/CPVC clear glue at your local hardware store (plumbing dept.) and try it on a small piece. That might be the ticket for your problem since the plastics are similar, but of course, maybe not.
Model airplane glue might work. 2 part clear epoxy would probably do it as well.
