Is it possible for a glass block window to crush the window sill? I am removing an old wood window from a Victorian house with balloon construction built in 1880. The window dimensions are 34x74. I estimated the glass alone should weigh 250 lbs and the mortar should be 50-100 lbs more. This window is on the second floor and there is a first floor window directly below it in the same stud bays.
Will framing in this configuration be enough to support the window?

However, keep in mind I don't have a horizontal 2x4 on the floor of the second floor since its balloon frame. The rest looks the same.
I was thinking maybe I should switch the window sill 2x4 for a header with 2x4's and plywood standing up running horizontal?
Thanks.
