Wall tile

I need expert advice. I have a wall 12 ft long and 7 ft high in my bathroom that I want to tile to match my new tile flooring. It is 3/8 inch sheet rock on regular studs. My husband says the wall could not withstand the weight and would collapse. Is this true or is he just trying to get out of another project?

Wall tile

Not going to collapes but it should have been 1/2" not 3/8 drywall. It's going to flex with the slightest pressure and crack the grout.
