Vytec windows

I'm a rookie at all this so I appreciate any advice.

I'm in the Atlatna area and I have 1962 brick ranch that I need to replace all windows.

I received an estimate for Vytec windows (16 DH, basement 4 SH) - installation and all for $9478.

Any comments on Vytec? Don't see much on the internet about them.

Does the price sound about right?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Are these vinyl windows? If so you are overpaying. Here in Texas they would run around $5000. Their is a contact in Georgia if you like I can pass the info on.

How can YOU, without seeing the job, comment on how much it should be? At the price he stated, that comes out to around $475 per window, which is a reasonable price for a vinyl window. Before throwing out numbers, why don't you ask him in detail what they are doing for that price? There are a ton of variables, you don't even know what he has for old windows. What if he currently has steel or aluminum windows? He mentioned his house was brick, he made need new buck frames, not to mention the openings will inevitably need to be wrapped.
