venting a wall mount range hood
I am installing a wall mount range hood in my kitchen..I will be venting the hood right out of the roof over my kitchen..I have a separate roof over the kitchen which then goes vertical to the roof over the rest of the house..my question is does the roof vent have to have a specific clearance from a vertical structure..I was told yes by some people and no by others so if anyone can give me the right answer that would be great..I live in NYC so I'm not sure if there are certain restrictions with venting a range hood against a vertical structure..I hope what I'm saying makes sense to someone...thanks and I appreciate the feedback

venting a wall mount range hood
Can't you vent the hood through the wall? Would be easier and render your question moot.
