vapour barrier on one wall only?
Hi. My first post.
I'm putting up drywall on one wall in a room that is mostly plaster and lath. The wall i'm working on was originally wood panelling nailed to the studs. Should I bother to use vapur barrier between the drywall and insulation since no other wall in the room has a VB?
Thanks in advance,
It won't hurt to put a vapor barrier in that wall, but you may or may not benefit from it, depending on how much it communicates air with the other walls.
You can only deal with what you've opened up, so I'd go ahead and put it in. It certainly won't hurt to have it.
Thanks much for the quick reply. I figured that's the way to go. As long as the one barrier in the room won't adversely affect the other walls, I'll throw it up. Thanks again. h
