Update on remodel...


Well...I finished off the outside of the window replacement/mold/termite damage. Here are the befores and afters...

I replaced all of the damaged studs...the window was in 90 degrees the wrong way...I took the advice of someone on here and used Brick Molding to frame in the outside of the window for additional weather protection.

Update on remodel...


Looks good.

Future reference: That bottom sill is usually installed on top of the jack studs (rather than nailed into the sides), with the jack continuing up to support the header.

Don't worry about it tho.

FWIW: We usually install a double bottom sill (for nailing the window stool and apron into).
