undermount sink/part 2?
I posted a topic yesterday about a vanity top for an undermount sink that i purchased. I got some really good replies and I am so glad I joined this chatroom. As I said before the cutout for the sink is 15" X 11". I found an undermount sink out of California that measures 15 3/4" X 11 5/8". I talked to the salesman and he told me that you want the undermount sink to be just a little bit bigger than the cutout. I dont know if he just wants to sell me the product to make a little money (ha ha). Do you think this will work for me?
In general, the cutout for an undermount sink matches the sink exactly.
If the cutout is bigger and the sink has a "top surface", then the purpose of the undermount is lost.
If the cutout is smaller, you'll have a weird lip to try to keep clean.
But in either case, a difference of 1/16 to 1/8 is not very significant.
