We would like to expand our Master Bedroom by knocking down a support wall going into a hallway. What are our options? Or, are we stuck with the wall as it is?
Thank you
You will want to get an Architect to have a look and make recommendation on your options. I doubt your stuck with the wall but you will need an expert to tell you the options.
I would call in a few contractors and get their opinion. If opinions are all over the place as to how to do it, I would bring in an Engineer or Architect. If all the opinions are similar, and make sense, I wouldn't bother with the Engineer and Architect.
If you know absolutely nothing about construction and wouldn't know what "makes sense", hire a Professional.
